Music Ministry: “Sing to the Lord! Praise His Name!” And that’s exactly what our music ministry does! You can join the adult choir, which sings weekly in the Sunday morning service. Choir rehearsal is held on Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. We sing a variety of songs such as traditional hymn arrangements, Southern Gospel, and modern worship songs. We also have special programs for Christmas and Easter. Special worship music through song (solos, duets, etc.) or instruments is also part of our church’s music ministry. In addition, everyone is invited to participate in our Fifth Sunday Night Sings through song, instrumental music, or recitation.
Nursing Home Visits: Visiting residents at local nursing homes and care facilities is one way we share God’s love with our community. Once a month, we gather at the church and ride together to minister at these facilities through song and encouraging conversation.
Operation Christmas Child: Every November, we participate in Operation Christmas Child, a mission of Samaritan’s Purse. OCC delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes, packed with toys, school supplies and personal care items. It is a hands-on way for all our church members to be involved in missions.
